Individual bunkers are available as powered base bunkers, each with up to one megawatt of power and multiple fiber providers. Alternatively, Prairie Bunkers will make its Tier III, LEED-certifiable design available to Buyers of powered shell DataBunkers for an additional design fee. Using innovative approaches to energy, cost and space efficiency and its hot-aisle containment design, Prairie Bunkers will convert bunker(s) into Tier III high-density “rack-ready” data centers or otherwise "build to suit." Each bunker can be configured for high-density computing to support up to 2800 servers at 6.7kW/rack minimum, with as high as 20kW/rack possible, equivalent in data storage capacity to 15,000 square feet of conventionally-designed space. Each bunker will have full systems' redundancy and will be upgradable to Tier IV. The technical design and facility conversion will be LEED “Silver” certifiable. The existing structure, coupled with Prairie Bunkers' design experience and excellent vendor/contractor relations, ensures that bunker conversions will be completed within several months with substantial cost savings over conventional facilities. Each bunker is approximately 5000 s.f., with the floor, walls and ceiling constructed out of steel-reinforced concrete, and subsequently covered with earth. These structures are impervious to natural risks, including force five tornadoes. Each data center will be within its own secured site, which is within a secured, access-controlled data center park. Bunkers can be linked via new construction to adjacent bunkers for configurations of 25,000 s.f. or more.
